Description
Titanium aeration discs are manufactured from high-purity industrial titanium powder (≥99.68%) using a high-temperature sintering process. This creates a monolithic structure with high mechanical strength, excellent resistance to chemical corrosion (acids, alkalis), and the ability to withstand temperatures up to 280°C. Unlike polymer membranes, they are not susceptible to aging, tearing, or degradation from hydrocarbons or ozone, ensuring a maintenance-free service life of 10 years or more, even in challenging environments.
Titanium bubble diffusers are exceptionally well-suited for ozone contact tank aeration. Titanium's inherent resistance to oxidation makes it an ideal material for ozonation processes in applications like pure water sterilization and industrial wastewater treatment. They are often considered the best choice for ozone injection aeration.
One of the key advantages of sintered metal aerators is that they can be easily regenerated. Clogging from mineral scaling or biofilms can be reversed through simple cleaning procedures:
● Acid Wash: Soak in a 5% nitric acid or diluted phosphoric acid solution for several hours at 40°C.
● Alkali Wash: For organic matter, a 3-5% sodium hydroxide solution can be used.
After cleaning, rinse thoroughly with water. This process restores the disc to near-original performance, contributing to its long service life.
These durable aeration panels are versatile and are used globally in:
● Municipal sewage treatment plants (activated sludge processes).
● Industrial wastewater treatment (chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, food processing).
● Ozone disinfection systems for water and wastewater.
● Aquaculture and fish farming for high-density oxygen supply.
Thanks to the uniform, fine micropores that produce tiny bubbles (0.1-2mm), titanium aeration discs provide a large gas-liquid interfacial area, which maximizes oxygen transfer efficiency (OTE). This can reduce energy consumption by up to 40% compared to conventional aerators, leading to significant operational cost savings.
