A renovation project for an old sedimentation tank has helped the client rediscover the value of the Tube Settler

Earlier this year, a Middle East water solution firm found us, they have a municipal water treatment project working for about ten years already. The water volume is increasing year by year, Settling Tank cannot take this pressure. But the factory space is very small, they want to build a bigger pool? No way!

This client asked us if it was possible to improve sedimentation efficiency without enlarging the tank? During the communication they repeated a word: Lamella Clarifier.

In today’s market, the Tube Settler and Lamella Clarifier are often used interchangeably because they operate on the same principle—both increase the settling area to improve solid-liquid separation efficiency. But when it comes to real renovation, the Tube Settler is more practical, because it can be installed into the existing sedimentation tank, without having to completely overhaul the entire clarification system.

They evaluated around, finally the client chose our PP Tube Settler Modules, which can be installed directly in the pool.

After three months, they sent a set of field data to us. The pool size still did not change, but the Tube settler structure created a lot of parallel settlement channels, and the suspended solids settled much faster.

Our client's most satisfying point is: during the renovation there was virtually no downtime. They had originally thought it would take at least a week, but after our coordination with the operational schedule, we finished it in three days.

For now, whether in drinking water treatment, municipal wastewater treatment, or industrial water treatment projects, more and more engineering companies are starting to use Tube Settler as a cheap solution without expansion.
